Document 2 : The victims
This document deals with the victim of Jack the Ripper (her common points, who where there…). The author is an historical fiction author. She also researches historical figures shrouded in mystery.
We know the story of Jack the Ripper especially with the books written about him. But on the side of the case, the only element we know is his victims who were killing and mutilating. Jack probably charms his victims and use several stratagems to convince women to follow him. As the victims showed no evidence of struggle or defensive wounds, the killer should be an inoffensive and respectable looking man (according to the FBI…)
The five victims had common points. They were all alcoholic and they had been one time in their life streetwalkers. However, the crime was different for any girls. Mary Ann Nichols had incisions in her abdomen ; Annie Chapman had incisions on her neck, her abdomen ravaged (with intestines placed on her shoulder) and her female organs removed and missing ; Elisabeth had just her throat cut ; Catherine had her entrails flung, her neck and throat cut, her intestines under her body and her face mutilated ; and at last, Mary Jane Kelly had her throat cut, her abdomen sliced, her face mutilated and her internal organs had been removed.
We surmise that Jack the Ripper had the passion for killing and as the need of a drug, the crime increased and accelerated…

Jack The Ripper is a sick and twisted person. Im a 15 year old girl, and i’ve read the in depth post mortems, and its absolutely horrifying. How could any moral/sane person be driven to do such disturbing things to another human being? I honestly cannot believe that there are people in this world sick enough to mutilate people as badly as this. Some of the images/mortuary photographs are disturbing; im generally one for violence and gore in todays horror films, most of it is over exaggerated and all of it is fake, yet looking and reading at the profiles, made me feel quite ill.
If only Jack The Ripper was caught, everybody would have had the satisfaction of torturing him, as he did his victims.
I have genuine sympathy for the families/decendents of the victims.

I studied Jack the Ripper for my History GCSE two years ago; and although horrifying, I have to admit, it’s pretty interesting…Mary Jane Kelly’s mutilation was the morst =/ makes me feel pretty darn sick. When I was little and before I studied him I used to think he was going to come and get me in the night! I was only like, 6…but hey, disturbed childhood I guess.

I wish they could have found out who he was and not just a nickname. I think its horrifiying what he did to these girls, but it makes you wonder a lot of questions about this. Why Girls? I think personal he raped them or something in that matter. If they were already dead why would he mutilate his vitiums? He really must have been a disturbing or mayble mental person. Even though its disturbing and horrifying its also very interesting. It makes you think. There are many disturbing people in this world

Well… I simply admire Jack the Ripper. That monster saw the thing which I wanted to see. I want to be in that monster’s shoes for just once. For just even a fleeting moment…
I want to witness the amount of fear the victims felt during the very moment when they are about to die. I want to take the place of that monster and be the killer. I want to see what is present between the few seconds which borders life from death. Is the fear present in that moment really qualifies to be “The Greatest Fear”?
But…
I value life too much… maybe I could accomplish that if I became a monster too.

i think that jack the ripper i really a twisted person but no one really knows his reasons for doing this maybe he had an insplit character if you do realize all his victims were killed around 1-2 am maybee somthing happend to him at this specific time which caused him a split in the character… well my reason for saying this is beacuase i don’t think that any human being can actually do what jack the ripper did!!!

the funny thing about these particular”expressions” is that not of the subjects were sexually assaulted or raped, all the autopsy reports indicate no signs of “connection”.and as for finding him and “torturing” him, consider this.look at what he managed to do to hardened women who worked the streets for a living. they didn’t live that long without defending themselves. this man was essentially a monster, and angry as you might be your encounter with him likely wouldnt have ended much better then theirs. oh and by the way he likely wouldnt have been tortured if caught, but likely either hung or commited to an asylum.

I can see both sides to this story although many people can not, I being a 12 year old girl can see the horrible way in which he commited these crimes and the wemon who where tring to do all they could to make money, but then Jacks side….Wemon should not sell themselves, it is putting them into a bad light, a light many males see us in today…as “sex” items….and Jack wanted nothing more than to distroy these people…..although I woun’t want anything like that to happen to anyone I’m just saying consider both sides of the sotry before lashing out in angry about something the media is twisting you to see…..

i just seen detective conan movie, the phantom of the baker street,
that jack the ripper killed also her mother beacuse of abandoning him,
maybe that’s why he hated woman, he’s mother drank the time he killed him, and in the 5 leading cases of woman he killed, all was suspected to be drank.
